Chelsea Krost
Interview: Maranda Pleasant

Maranda Pleasant: What makes you come alive or inspires you?

Chelsea Krost: I love feeling in touch with Mother Nature. Spending time outside— whether it’s hiking, biking, walking on the beach, or lying in the sun—brings me clarity and energy.

MP: What makes you feel vulnerable?

CK: I really feel vulnerable when I don’t have the answer to something. When I feel lack of control, my nerves really kick in.

MP: If you could say something to everyone on the planet, what would it be?

CK: There are so many things I would like to say. However, the most important thing that I do is allow myself to unplug, spend time with the people I love most, and not take the little things for granted.

MP: How do you handle emotional pain?

CK: When I am upset about something, it gives me a stomachache. I have to address it right away so that I don’t make myself sick. Communication is vital when it comes to excelling in the workplace and in your personal relationships.

MP: How do you keep your center in the middle of chaos? Do you have a daily routine?

CK: If I feel like I am about to explode, I take a minute to evaluate what it is that I have on my plate, make a to-do list, and start tackling what I need to do, one step at a time.

MP: What’s been one of your biggest lessons so far in life?

CK: When one door closes, another door opens. What makes a person a success is how they handle the lows in life and how they make their comeback.

MP: What truth do you know for sure?

CK: Social media allows you to network, collaborate, and share your work with others.

Building a solid network via social is the most valuable thing you can do for your business or personal brand.

MP: What causes or organizations are you passionate about?

CK: The SOS Children’s Villages in Florida has been a part of my family since my brother and I were very little. I am so proud of my mother, who has dedicated so much of her time, love, and energy to the children at SOS.

MP: Tell me about your latest projects.

CK: This January, I am launching a start-up, the MPulse, along with my cofounder, Greg Goldner. The MPulse will be the go-to resource for the videos and articles that matter most to the Millennial generation. You can expect a highly customizable experience with content from the biggest influencers all while pushing the limits with innovative technology.

MP: What is love for you?

CK: Love is when you can completely trust one another, you feel like you can conquer the world together, you know that person will be there for you, and most importantly, you make each other laugh.

MP: What is the most important thing for us to do as beings?

CK: Have fun, live life, think big, love hard!
